A smidge more gratitude for the Teachers I live with. I doubt I would've chosen Jack Sparrow for inspiration this evening, but the offspring were entranced... a few days off school and you'll stretch the limits of entertainment in any direction.
Now Jack, even a fourth time is worthy of a few quotes, and his co-stars, even more so. You gotta love Angelica (Penelope Cruz), she is so intense! And Jack and Angelica on the island... now that was an unexpected ending "missed"
I've been knee deep in adolescence for a career for a couple of decades now, and yet attempting to raise a few is a whole other story. Which still leaves me in Epicurus territory. They, the pleasure driven, natural Zen teens, are totally in the moment, oblivious to the metre high pile of dishes and overflowing bins. And so each time I notice the piles, I have to ask myself what is really really important here? If I had a Tibetan brass bowl to whack with a stick this would be the moment! Not to get their attention, but to bring me back to some of the great quotes from Jack and Angelica. Jack always looks dirty, and there is this sense when I see and hear him, that his adolescent type approach to the world keeps some really amazing wisdom alive that I often ignore in favour of getting all twisted over emptying the recycling bin!
So who am I "...to set the limits of redemption". I keep getting saved by the daily grist from the live-in teen Masters who really know how to live
Duck leads a peaceful parade to the bin...
PS: Found a really cool app yesterday that might get you through till you can afford your very own brass bowl =D https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.googlecode.mindbell&hl=en
