The facts are that over the last few years I’ve immersed myself in all sorts of interesting subjects that I never dared explore before! AND one of the results is that I now enjoy pretty much everything! Even the so called ‘bad stuff’ [giggling out loud]
What I didn’t understand until now (well I think I understand!) is that not everything needs to flow the way you hoped it would for you to appreciate the process…
What I do, however, deliberately do now, is very carefully protect my boundaries. It’s not a selfish thing… it’s a reality thing (i.e. my new understanding of reality). It seems to me that life is pretty awesome if you respect the basic rules (i.e. from what I understand - so it may not be reality, just my perception of reality).
It seems to me that the Universe doesn’t give a flying f… if you are good, bad or indifferent to the needs of anyone but you, yourself and YOU. If you believe you are entitled to get a certain outcome and you work towards imagining and creating some of the ingredients that head in that direction, your attention to that detail might just result in a physical manifestation of what you dreamt up!
It kinda seems like magic. Magic being more of a slight of hand AKA what appears to be real is not so real once you see all the detail. But what it seems is that the observer is so important in the process that even if the observer is corrupt, their plan and intention materialises as imagined.
That sucks to an extent, BUT it kinda fits with the strange magic I was taught as a child. It’s almost as if God now makes sense to me.
Please forgive the blasphemy (if that’s how you read it) it’s not my intention to mess with anyone’s belief anymore, unless it crosses my boundary (that is, if your belief imposes massive sanctions on what I am allowed to do, even if it has no impact on you, then please bugger off to some other corner of the Universe where they like you).
So, what I’m trying to say is, it seems to me that the ‘Universe/God/the Law of attraction' (however you understand the rules, and who may be in charge) doesn’t care if you are good or bad, but whatever your intention is, if you are fully intent on following it, it will almost certainly roll out in a manner close to how you imagine it. Almost as if you were a god with the power to direct the Universe - or at the very least a powerful agent of the God.
It’s not my intention to be blasphemous. It’s kind of amusing actually. I told a joke recently that involved Jesus, and as I delivered the punchline the listener stepped back as if seriously concerned his listening might involve lightening flowing from the heavens, because I had dared to make light of the Son of God, or at least speculation of his sense of humour (I reckon the 'Son of God' would be a pretty good party participant, you know "oh shit we're down to the goon" - "relax dudes I just found some Grange in the corner").
I reckon, and "I'm not the only one" (to quote John - not the disciple) that we are all little pieces of God.
That is, if we are created by an all powerful being. Then he/she/it intended to give us some of the creative power that they enjoy… why else would we have gifts like writing songs or creatively riding ocean waves!?
Last weekend I enjoyed a Comedy Festival (arranged by my adorable partner who appreciates the absurd…). Now those guys are creative and incredibly brave!!! To stand alone on a bare stage and deliver lines in the hope of a laugh is the toughest gig I can imagine! It is so creative… taking every-day events and seeing the ridiculous/sad/funny and sometimes disgusting aspects… that is courageous...
So, to all of you who are hanging onto your snug conformist view of how it all works… well I hope your going OK...
And to all of you who are willing to take a leap of faith and enjoy the process... of all that life throws at you… Well you know very well how much better it is. It doesn't mean there's no pain, it's just that it's less likely you'll rage against the pain. To quote Pema the Buddhist Nun "lean into the sharp points" It's hilarious to me that I get what she means...
When was the last time you received a butterfly kiss from someone? Now that is living :)
and if there’s anything you really dislike, before you express it…
consider the ongoing consequences…
enjoy your hypocrisy
