thanks, all I can say is thanks! Another opportunity to have a go at offering some sort of justice and opportunity to practice fairness, and even love, with conditions this time.
Do you ever wonder after you've made a snap judgement, that you may have been a little hasty (especially if you have voiced it). Well, sometimes you just have to stick with your original statement, not because it was right or even close to the best thing you could have articulated in the circumstances, but because to try and fix the circumstance with more words would not be at all useful... in fact it would most likely water down the natural flow of some sort of 'universal justice'. And even if you could have been a better 'judge and jury' (as you were unwittingly thrown into that role) it seems that sometimes when the 'jury and judge' are a bit over zealous, there are some catalytic consequences that may have never emerged otherwise. I'm not trying to let myself off the hook as a rotten judge, it's that I'm cranky as hell that I don't have a better jury to work with. I want to give the accused more time, resources and leniency - BUT I truly believe that would be the worst possible decision!
So, what I'm going to do instead is - 'unconditional positive regard' for me and the accused and see what happens...
Cranky Duck, with a clear purpose, but limited ideas
I paid3000 bucks a few years ago to set up a particular thing! And I even got in writing what I was supposed to get for my HARD EARNED CASH, but I still didn't get it... Sometimes you just don't get the fairness or justice that you expect.
I work with a few police here and there, and some of them understand justice. Some of them just play the role of blindly enforcing the law.
There's a massive difference from where I'm standing...
I'm going to bed now to sleep on that one. I like the coppers that I know well, who understand that sometimes there are historical injustices that have been committed that need to be taken into consideration in the context of the current crimes. It's not that they overlook current breaches of the law, it's that they have a go at helping the humans they work with get a better handle on their own triggers. Now that is justice with empathy, it's inspiring to watch...
